A family micro-dairy in Agua Dulce running a legal California herd share on Nigerian Dwarf goats — the only goat herd share this directory has found in Los Angeles County. California law bars the direct sale of raw milk from a farm this size, so members buy a share of the herd and pay a boarding fee for its care. Shares cost $60 refundable plus a $5 refundable jar deposit, with boarding at $15 per half-gallon share per week. Pickup at the ranch is Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, 8am to noon.
Herd health and honesty: Annual testing for CAE, CL, Johne’s, tuberculosis and Q fever; no routine vaccines, chemical parasite control or antibiotics. The ranch states plainly that the milk is not organic, because it cannot reliably source organic hay locally. There are no in-person farm tours.
