OC Local Honey sells varietal honey from Orange County and the surrounding region — Irvine wildflower, sage, orange wildflower and Inland Empire varietals kept separate rather than blended. Amy Cripps started keeping bees in 2007 and founded the business in 2010 as Orange County’s first varietal honey broker. It sells its own honey alongside honey brokered from other Southern California beekeepers, direct through an online storefront and at the OC Fair.
Worth knowing: This is a producer and a broker. Some jars are the operation’s own; others are sourced from named regional beekeepers and sold as single varietals. Ask which is which if provenance matters to you.
