Deliveries are paused. Get Hooked’s own site states that “our Community Supported Fishery is now on indefinite hold as we shift our focus to seafood education and expanding our work to intercept food waste through Marino Soil Foods,” and that “seafood deliveries are paused for now.” You cannot buy a box today. The listing stays up because the operation is still active and the fishery may return — treat it as a resource, not a source of fish.
Get Hooked is a women-owned community supported fishery working the Santa Barbara Channel, eight years in business. It bought from roughly fifty-five small-boat fishermen and deliberately rotated across many species rather than concentrating on one, which is how a small fleet avoids exhausting a single stock. Pickup ran at twenty-five locations across Santa Barbara, Goleta, Carpinteria, Montecito, Ventura and Los Angeles, with home delivery available.
Traceability: Each box stated who caught the fish, where, how and when, with a short profile of the fisherman and the vessel.
Listed means this is a vetted local source we have not yet fully verified against our regenerative criteria. Inclusion is never paid and is not an endorsement.
