Membership is $100 a year, payable in bitcoin through Zaprite. The board includes practising physicians across internal medicine, emergency medicine and ophthalmology, alongside the founders of SOUND HSA.
Sound-money criteria: bitcoin only. Across the organization’s site there is no mention of any other cryptocurrency; the only other technology it endorses is Nostr, which is a protocol rather than a currency. This is a sound-money position rather than payments marketing.
Read this before you click through: this is a physician-facing organization, not a patient directory. It advertises a Bitcoin Physician Map, but as of September 2026 that map loads and then sits on “Loading members…” indefinitely — the data source behind it returns an error, so it displays no providers at all. If you are a patient looking for a bitcoin-friendly doctor, this will not currently help you. If you are a physician who wants to find colleagues working on the same problem, it is the place to start.
